The drive

The donation drive began in August of 2022. I prayed to God for something to fill my heart, and that is when I was introduced to The Call in Arkansas. With limited time on my hands I didn’t really know what to do, so I used my energy and resources to the fullest extent I could and created a digital donation drive via amazon wishlists and Cashapp donations. I figured I would collect maybe 5 or 10 toys from friends and family but that quickly turned into over 20 toys, some essential goods, and multiple gift cards for two locations. I couldn’t be more grateful to help out such an amazing cause.

In 2023, since there was such a response from last years donations, I was able to expand the wishlist into two: one for toys and one for essential donations. You can also give through Cashapp or Venmo. This year I am hoping to be able to give two locations the blessing of a good Christmas: The Call in Saline County and The Call in Garland County, which are in the communities I work and live in. Every donation counts, and it all goes to help the foster children in our community through The Call and their mission to educate and equip our community to care for children in foster care.

When I began the 2023 drive, I went into it earlier in the year in hopes to collect more than what I collected last year. I was so blessed when The Call reached out to me to inquire about the donations for the year and were able to connect me with the Foster Parent Association in Arkansas so my donations could make the largest impact for these families. When summer came around, I decided to also participate in the Miss Arkansas FACS Scholarship Pageant in December, since their mission aligned so closely with mine! Though I fell sick when donation and pageant time came around, I was able to donate double what I gave last year to foster families in Arkansas, AND donate to FACS to distribute, while also earning the title of Miss Arkansas FACS Ambassador.

I also do a lot of cross country traveling and am always looking for my next adventure.
